the first snowfall

mysteriously cold days as this one has my heart wishing for the warmth of summer…

however, I am growing quite fond of allowing a hot cup of coffee to warm me from the inside out + settling in a cozy corner while outside a blanket of white crisp layers across the soiled ground before I lose myself in a curiously diverse world found between the pages of a storybook for hours upon hours, divulging into a wonderland where every dream seems to unravel so easily before the brave heroine and even fortunately so for the poor peddler.

Because this story is one that seems to go on into forever giving every soul the time to slowly become who they were meant to be all along + with the courage that gently rests beneath the heart of every character creating an awakening venue for seemingly endless limitations plus daunting opportunities that swiftly intrigue each and every one who finds themselves lost between the pages and far beyond the complexity of life.

And for just a mere moment every fear seems to dissipate into the morning air along with the rhythm of the wind and every deep inhale as if the feeling of anxiety had never once existed before.

Now longing to dwell in my imagination for a little while more as if reality wasn’t lingering around the corner I’d attempt to stay for tea and a real, heart to heart conversation simply to extend this shortened visit, yet in the end, I know my passport is resting in the palm of my hand with the other free to wave goodbye as I travel back to this unimaginably, plain world where fears exist and dreams don’t seem to always come true, but I leave with a promise to visit shortly in the time to come and that my sense of wonder won’t be lost in the darkened reality that must be bravely faced in my return.

So here is to my dear friends that, like me, believe one’s imagination or an old book is an exhilarating escape from reality. πŸ‚

Are you a dreamer, writer, or reader? If so, let me know what book you’re reading or a dream you’ve been pondering on of late. πŸ’

  1. A book? Full Disclosure, by Dee Henderson

    A dream?? To fly.

.. And I guess you could say I’m all three. How have you been lately? We’re just going into summer here.. Happy to be home. Just a suggestion to check out.. If you’re interested in aviation at all, you ought to look up the young eagles program by the EAA (Experimental Aviation Association).

Do you write poetry at all?? I really like your photo.

    Joy

    P. S., smile!!! =]

    1. I’ve never read that before, I’ll have to look into it!
I’ve been good. I started working at a bakery, so I’ve definitely been busy. How are you? So y’all are back in Peru!? I wish we could have gotten together. I do write poetry, though not as often as I’d like. Will you be going into the EAA program?? Thank you, friend! Hope you all are doing well. Happy Thanksgiving.
